Three days covering the two things most visitors come for. You begin with Kigali — the memorial, the markets and the viewpoints — before driving north to Volcanoes National Park.
The second morning is the trek, tracking a habituated gorilla family with the ranger team. We keep the return drive relaxed, with room for a stop at the twin lakes or a coffee cooperative if time allows.
Arrival and Kigali
Meet your guide, spend the afternoon on Kigali's memorial and markets, then settle in for the night.
Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
Drive north through the terraced hills to Musanze. Afternoon at the twin lakes or the Musanze caves, depending on the weather.
Gorilla trek and return
Early briefing and the trek to your gorilla family, then the return drive to Kigali.
A Rwanda gorilla permit is required and subject to availability. We confirm the official fee and your trek date before booking.
