Who we are
Luckys Travel Tours is a private safari operator based in Kigali, Rwanda. We plan and run journeys in Rwanda, Uganda and the wider East Africa region. You can reach us at luckystraveltours@gmail.com or +250 785 331 096.
What we collect
We collect only what you send us. When you use the enquiry form on our contact page, that means your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, your approximate travel dates, the number of travellers, the type of journey you are interested in, and whatever you write in the message box. If you email or message us directly, we receive whatever you choose to send. We do not ask for, and do not want, passport numbers, payment card details or medical information through this website; we collect those later, only if you book, and only through the channels we tell you about.
Our web server also records standard technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is used for security and to diagnose faults.
How we use it
To answer your enquiry, to prepare a suggested itinerary and quote, and, if you decide to travel with us, to arrange the trip and stay in touch about it. That is all. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
Who we share it with
To arrange a trip we share the minimum necessary with the suppliers who deliver it: lodges and camps, park authorities where permits are required, transport providers, and the guides and ground staff working on your itinerary. If we are legally required to disclose information, we will do so. Our website hosting and email providers process data on our behalf, and some of them may store it on servers outside Rwanda.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies for ordinary visitors, and it does not run advertising, analytics or social media tracking scripts. You can read every page, including the itineraries, without accepting anything. Cookies are used only when an administrator signs in to manage the site. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not share browsing data with advertisers.
One third-party request is made when a page loads: our headings use a typeface served by Google Fonts, which means Google receives the IP address of your device when that font is fetched. Everything else on the site is served from this domain.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept while we are talking with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can pick the conversation back up if you return to it. If you travel with us, we keep the records connected with the booking for as long as we need to run the trip and to meet our accounting and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose. Email luckystraveltours@gmail.com and we will deal with it. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights set out in the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to complain to your national supervisory authority. In Rwanda, our processing of personal data is subject to Rwanda’s law on the protection of personal data and privacy.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 through it.
