Fishing Experience On Lake Kivu

Out on the lake at dawn with the crews who fish it every night.

Duration1 day / 0 nights
Journey basisPrivate journey
Starts / endsKigali, Rwanda
Best timeYear-round. The drier months, June to September and December to February, are easier underfoot.

Singing fishermen row out on Lake Kivu at dusk and haul their nets by lamplight. This trip puts you on the water with them: a boat, a guide, and hands-on time with the nets.

It is arranged directly with the crews, so the income stays with them. Fishing happens early, and you will be back for breakfast.
