Rwanda Cultural Village Experience

A day with a Rwandan community: drumming, weaving, and lunch cooked on the fire.

Duration1 day / 0 nights
Journey basisPrivate journey
Starts / endsKigali, Rwanda
Best timeYear-round. The drier months, June to September and December to February, are easier underfoot.

This is a full day spent with a rural community rather than looking at one. You learn about traditional cattle keeping, watch and try the Intore dancing and drumming, and join a weaving session.

Lunch is cooked on the fire the traditional way. Income from the visit stays with the community, and the day is arranged on their terms.
